DeBuck’s Sod Farm’s “Real Grass, Real Fast” product can be installed and immediately used for sport play.
Level up your stadium renovation by installing an entire field of “Real Grass, Real Fast” just like the pros do. Or keep your team in the game with the option to repair goalmouths, inside the hash-marks, or tee-boxes in-season to keep fields at peak performance despite weather or high use conditions.
“Real Grass, Real Fast” is sod that is grown on an impervious surface. The roots are forced to grow laterally instead of down, creating a dense root mat. The sod is grown in a two-inch 80/20 sand/peat ratio profile, which is ideal for drainage and stability. It weighs 15-20 pounds per square foot, so when a roll that is 3.5 feet wide by 40 feet long is laid down, even a 300-pound lineman digging in against an opponent won’t budge it. The massive root mat remains intact when harvested and transplanted. Unlike traditional sod, there is no need to separate the grass from soil, so there is no root shearing which minimizes transplant shock as well as increases the rate that the sod adheres once transplanted. “Real Grass, Real Fast” provides professional field conditions immediately, and is a great long-term solution with healthy roots, aggressive grass varieties, and an ideal soil profile.

The root-bound effect of growing on an impervious surface even allows grass or plants that would not be able to form a traditional sod product to form a root mat that allows for transplant.
